Mission Statement

Mission Statement

We believe with Christ at the centre, we will achieve excellence in education as we all aspire to grow together to be the people God created us to be.

Holy Rosary Catholic Primary Academy is conducted as a Catholic School in accordance with the canon law and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and in line with the Trust Deed of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. In particular that religious education is in accordance with the teachings, doctrines, discipline and general and particular norms of the Catholic Church. Also that religious worship is in accordance with the rites, practices, discipline and general and liturgical norms of the Catholic Church.

We believe that the Mission Statement shapes the direction of the whole school and underpins our core values. These are the foundation of our classroom and school rules. Our school motto of 'Believe + Achieve + Aspire' directly links to our core values, which, in line with the teachings of the Catholic Church, are as follows:

Our School Values

Believe

We believe that we will put Christ at the centre by:

  • Acknowledging Jesus as our Saviour and Friend

  • Nurturing our personal relationship with Him

  • Loving and serving others as He loves us

Achieve

We will achieve excellence in education through:

  • Providing a high quality Catholic curriculum

  • Cultivating an engaging environment for all

  • Ensuring exceptional, faith-filled leadership at all levels

Aspire

We will aspire to be who God created us to be by:

  • Celebrating that we are all made in the likeness of God

  • Discerning our unique vocation in life

  • Being hopeful, spirit-filled people living the Good News

Our School Virtues

The school has adopted the following virtues which form part of our school mission and ethos.

They form a Catholic Pupil Profile and provide guidance on the type of people that we want our children to be when they leave us in Year 6.

We respect and value all members of our school community.

Our virtues remind us how to behave as good Catholic people and we would ask that all parents try and gain an understanding of their meaning so that they can discuss them with their children.
